Shakira Barrera, a native Nicaraguense of New Jersey, earned her BFA in dance from Rutgers University. She is a multi-talented actress and dancer. She has appeared in movies and TV shows such as "Rosewood," "Grey's Anatomy," "East Los High" and the web series, "High & Mighty" that will premiere in the 2017 Los Angeles Film Festival. As a dancer, she has performed for Jennifer Lopez, Prince Royce, Pitbull, Don Omar, Gente de Zona, and Carlos Vives among others. Shakira Barrera is thankful for Maria Torres, who has served as a mentor and friend. She also wants to thank her mother, grandmother, manager, and agents for their endless support and standing by her side.
